Our online store is temporarily closed. We hope to be able to update the online inventory as soon as possible, but there have been a lot of unanticipated life events this season that have complicated our time for computer crunching.

Our self-serve plant stand is now open! Please stop by and take a look at some of our inventory or come by one of the local markets we're attending this season!

Black Chokeberry (Aronia prunifolia)

This wetland shrub has dark purple or black berries that birds love. The fruit is also fine for people to eat, though can be bitter raw and is better suited to jams, jellies, wine, juice, or syrup. Its ability to grow in wet soils and sucker also make it a great option for controlling erosion. In autumn, the leaves change to vibrant red, orange and purple tones.
