Huckleberry (Gaylussacia baccata)
Huckleberries are a favorite among both people and wildlife. The tart flavor can be reminiscent of blueberries. Like blueberries, they can also be used in pies, pancakes, muffins, salad dressings, syrup, and more. Huckleberries also have a long history in traditional medicine and have been used to treat pain, infections, and heart ailments.
