Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis)
The Sycamore is the largest tree indigenous to eastern North America and can grow up to 100’ tall! It reaches its tallest height along streams and rivers. The brown bark of mature trees peel to reveal white, greenish-grey, or yellow patches underneath, a distinguishing feature of the tree. It serves as a host plant to various moth species
